Taking Care of Your New Tattoo
If you remember when you were a child and you have just fallen over and grazed your arm (not cut it) just grazed. That's a bit like how a new tattoo feels when it's just been finished, it will sting slightly, be a bit sore and feel uncomfortable but wont be unbearable. Remember some people heal quicker than others so this is just general advice. The best piece of advice we can give is always keep it clean.
Here is picture of a new Inkya tattoo here is our advice on looking after your new tattoo once you have left our shop.
1. A new tattoo doesn't always need a dressing so depending on the size of your new tattoo will depend on what dressing is applied if any is applied at all.
2. Do not rub your new tattoo, after about two to three hours wash it with some warm (not hot) soapy water, do not rub it dry just dab it with a clean towel or piece of tissue.
3. Apply some moisturising cream to your new tattoo twice a day for approx one to two weeks, we at Inkya recommend Bepanthem. As we said earlier don't rub it in just smear the surface lightly and let it slowly absorb into the skin.
4. Until your new tattoo has healed keep it out of direct sunlight, as this might cause it to fade.
5. If working in a dusty or dirty envoiroment keep your new tattoo clean and covered.
6. Avoid sunbeds and swimming until your new tattoo has fully healed.
7. After a week or so your new tattoo will form a small scab, don't pick it, scratch it or rub it, let it heal naturally.
8. Your new Inkya tattoo should be fully healed after three to four weeks.
